After Danny finished up his spring classes, we packed all of our stuff into storage and drove out to Minnesota to visit my sister, Charisse, and her family. We left around midnight and got there the next day around midnight. And yes, besides a quick side stop to Mount Rushmore, we drove straight through! It was exhausting, but so much cheaper than flying!
Since Danny and I are looking for jobs and have no idea where we'll be living come mid August, Charisse and her husband, Stephen, tried all week to sell us on Minnesota, and they were pretty successful! We both absolutely loved the area. Here are a few of the things we got to do while we were there:
We spent lots of time in the sun-a new lake almost every day.
My niece Clara is a little monkey. She was climbing all over the place at the parks!
Charisse even took us to the zoo!
We went on a dinner cruise around Lake Minnetonka. The food was good and it was so much fun seeing all of the giant houses along the shore.
Our last night there we went on a walk down by one of the lakes.
We were sad to leave, but who knows! Maybe we'll be back sooner than expected. Next stop, Delaware!
